Study planner

Create a study schedule or exam revision plan from tasks, effort and available days. Account for breaks and export CSV or all-day calendar tasks.

Your study time

Includes this day; maximum 366 days.

Browser default is editable. Dates stay local; calendar tasks are all-day events.

Available hours by weekday

Wall-clock hours including breaks. Zero means unavailable. Hours and effort are rounded to the nearest whole minute.

One YYYY-MM-DD date per line, within your plan dates.

Topics and effort

Higher priority comes first; equal priorities follow topic order. A greedy schedule fills earlier days first, rather than optimizing spacing.

Topic 1

Your study schedule

Set dates, availability, and topic effort to build a schedule.

Keep a copy on this device

Optional. One saved study plan per browser and site address. Save replaces the previous copy; edits are never saved automatically. Restore is always your choice.

Includes validated settings, topic effort, and applied task edits. An unfinished task edit is not saved.

Anyone using this browser profile can access the saved copy. Browser data may be cleared or unavailable. Device saving is not a backup or cloud sync; download your work separately.

Generate a current plan and apply or cancel task edits before saving. Settings and edited tasks are included; unfinished edit forms are not.

A plan that respects your time

Start and deadline dates are inclusive. Excluded days have no capacity. Higher priority topics are scheduled first; equal priorities keep your topic order. Each task uses up to 50 study minutes and a reserved 10-minute break. Remaining gaps of 10 minutes or less cannot fit another task. The schedule is deterministic and does not optimize spaced repetition or estimate how quickly you learn.

For example, 2 available hours can hold two 50-minute study blocks with two 10-minute breaks. If you requested 2 study hours, 20 study minutes remain unallocated. Increase availability, extend your dates, or revise effort explicitly; work is never silently discarded.

Adjust and keep your tasks

Edit task labels, dates, and study minutes directly. Edits cannot exceed a day’s capacity or a topic’s requested effort. Changing input settings keeps the previous schedule visible but blocks export until regeneration; regenerating asks before replacing manual edits.

All-day calendar dates remain the dates you chose, including across daylight-saving transitions. Calendar events have stable IDs within this browser plan. CSV guards formula-like topic labels for spreadsheet import. Leaving this page, refreshing, or closing clears the current plan. Use the optional device controls to save and explicitly restore settings and edited tasks; later edits need another save. Export a separate copy. Timed reminders are not available.

Build a study schedule for exam revision

List specific topics or tasks and estimate their study effort. “Review chapter 3 examples” is easier to act on than “Study more.” Enter the time you actually have between the start date and deadline, excluding days when other commitments leave no study capacity.

Compare requested effort with allocated effort after generating the plan. Availability includes reserved breaks, so two hours of available time does not mean two hours of study. If effort remains unallocated, extend the window, add realistic capacity or explicitly reduce the requested work.

Review the task list before exporting. Adjust labels and dates to match your materials and commitments, and save a new device copy after applying edits. The planner places work by priority and capacity; it does not assess mastery, schedule optimized spaced repetition or know how long a topic will take you to learn.

Common questions

How do I create a study plan for exams?

List the topics you need to revise, estimate study minutes for each and choose a realistic start date, deadline and daily capacity. Generate the plan, review reserved breaks and unallocated effort, then adjust the workload before exporting.

Is the study schedule a timed weekly timetable?

The planner allocates tasks to dates and available capacity. Calendar exports create all-day events, not fixed clock-time appointments or reminders. Use the exported dates as a revision plan and add precise session times in your own calendar if needed.

Why is some study effort left unallocated?

The available days may not fit all the work and reserved breaks. Small remaining gaps may also be too short for another task. Unallocated effort stays visible so you can revise the plan deliberately.

Does the calendar export include timed reminders?

No. ICS downloads create all-day tasks on the selected dates. Add times or reminders in your calendar if needed, and check how your calendar handles repeated imports.

Will my plan be there when I return?

Only if you explicitly save a device copy and restore it later, or keep an exported copy. The working plan clears when you leave the page or refresh; saving does not automatically capture later edits.
